"R" Day

Today was R Day.

Red ("rot") oatmeal? Yay!

I built this racecar ("Rennauto") all by myself.

This puzzle has a giant ("Riese") on it.

I study this bread recipe ("Rezept") very carefully to make sure we'd bake it correctly.

For lunch, I got to eat scrambled eggs ("Rührei") and red cabbage ("Rotkohl.")

Look! A spaceship ("Raumschiff")...or is it a rocket ("Rakete?")

I got a reptile ("Reptil") stamp.

Mama and I read one of my raven ("Rabe") stories.

Yummy: Ritter Sport chocolate!

And, to finish off the day, I went to sleep under my knight ("Ritter") covers.

Tante Moni and Onkel Hans-Jürgen

Tante Moni and Onkel Hans-Jürgen visited Oma and Opa, so we went to Oma and Opa's as well.

I got a new game from them, and I had a lot of fun playing it with Moni, Hans-Jürgen and Oma.

We went swimming, too. Opa taught me a new trick: swimming on my back!

And here is a family photo:

It was a great weekend!

Today was P & Q day. For breakfast, I had pancakes ("Pfannkuchen") and a peach ("Pfirsich.") I also got a new pirate ("Pirat") shirt.

Here is the Lego horse ("Pferd") that I have at Oma and Opa's.

A package ("Paket") came in the mail ("Post") as well. There were lots of great things in there!

A pirate puzzle ("Piratenpuzzle"):

My friend Quatschi, the penguin ("Pinguin"):

Oma and I made "P" and "Q" cookies.

For lunch, we had a picnic ("Picknick.") We ate pizza ("Pizza,") peach salsa ("Pfirsichsalsa,") bell pepper ("Paprika,") Quark, and "P" and "Q" cookies.

Opa and I went in the pool in the evening.

"O" Day

Today was "O" Day.

I watched "Jonah," since it has a lot of scenes that take place in the ocean ("Ozean.")

Then I colored with my orange ("orange") pen.

Mama colored the Olympic rings ("Olympischen Ringe") for me.

We read Nemo, since the fish live in the ocrean ("Ozean.")

Of course, I talked to Oma and Opa on the phone s well.

Mama and I made an ox ("Ochse") as well.

For lunch I had baked potato ("Ofenkartoffel,") an olive ("Olive,") and Omelette ("Omelette,") and a fruit salad ("Obstsalat.") And I got to drink orange juice ("Orangensaft") as well.

For dessert, I got to eat some Easter Bunny ("Osterhase.") Made out of chocolate, of course.

Mama also showed me pictures of Oslo, since Opa travels there sometimes.

After my nap, I got to eat Oreos. Those are so yummy!

Preschool

Today was my first day of Preschool. Mama says I'm a big boy. I had so much fun and can't wait until Thursday! That's when I get to go back to school.

Mama bought me a pinwheel, and I got to make my own pizza for lunch. And Mama made cupcakes to celebrate my first day.
