"H" Day

Wednesday was "H" Day in Houston.

For breakfast, I got to eat oatmeal ("Haferflocken") and cocoa in a bunny cup ("Hasenbecher.") And my hair ("Haare") looked extra wild today.

Opa and I played a fun game with our hands ("Hände.")

Oma and I had lots of fun playing with my new dog stamp ("Hundestempel.")

I also got a hat ("Hut") and a shirt ("Hemd") with a dog ("Hund") on it.

Check out this funny rabbit ("Hase!") You can make his eyes hover in the air.

Isn't this a cool shirt ("Hemd?")

After all the playing, I got hungry ("hungrig.") We ate hot dogs and veggies with Hollandaise sauce ("holländischer Soße.") Yummy!

After my nap, we got to eat some of the tall ("hoher") heart ("Herz") cake Mama made.

And then I got a "Hampelmann" that Mama and Oma made for me.

After that, I got to use my hammer ("Hammer") to put a hook in the wall for my "Hampelmann.")

For dinner, we ate hamburgers.

Thanks for a supercool "H" day, Oma and Opa!

"G" Day

Today was "G" Day.

For breakfast, I got to eat green ("grün") oatmeal in a yellow ("gelb") bowl with my pancake. And I wore a yellow ("gelb") shirt, too.

Mama and I colored my "G" picture and read some stories ("Geschichten.")

I also played (gespielt) a lot. Did you know that I can play golf ("Golf?")

I got to play Daddy's guitar ("Gitarre") too. Here is a sampling of my musical genius:

And I watched my GoFish video. They're my favorite group.

For lunch, we all ate green ("grün") broccoli with yellow ("gelb") cheese sauce, a grilled ("gegrillt") gouda ("Gouda") cheese sandwich, and yellow pudding with bananas.

After my nap, we had giraffes ("Giraffen") as a snack, and I made a new friend as well. His name is Georg, and he is a yellow ("gelbe") giraffe ("Giraffe.")

Talking to Georg is a lot of fun.

We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner, where I got to eat mac and cheese...yellow ("gelb") food for dinner to finish off a great day.

"F" Day

Today was "F" Day.

It all started with breakfast ("Frühstück.")

We looked a photos ("Fotos") of my family ("Familie") and friends ("Freunden.")

Then I used finger ("Finger") paints ("Farben") to color pictures of Findus. (That's the name of a cat in some movies I like.)

And Findus and I watched a Findus movie ("Film") on TV ("Fernsehen.")

We read books about flamingos ("Flamingos") and Franklin. And we practiced finding ("finden") things.

I also played with my binoculars ("Fernglas.")

Catching ("fangen") fish ("Fische") was also on the agenda.

For lunch I ate fish-sticks ("Fischstäbchen") and fruit ("Früchte.") For dessert, I got to eat a fruit roll-up.

Unfortunately, it was too cold and wet outside to ride ("fahren") my bike ("Fahrrad") or play soccer ("Fußball.")

After my nap, I ate a fire-truck ("Feuerwehrauto") made out of graham crackers and Nutella. I also had some gummy fish.

Mama finally showed me her recorder ("Flöte,") and I had lots of fun playing it.

Mama and I also made a frog ("Frosch") together.

We had a whole lot going on today!
