"F" Day

Today was "F" Day.

It all started with breakfast ("Frühstück.")

We looked a photos ("Fotos") of my family ("Familie") and friends ("Freunden.")

Then I used finger ("Finger") paints ("Farben") to color pictures of Findus. (That's the name of a cat in some movies I like.)

And Findus and I watched a Findus movie ("Film") on TV ("Fernsehen.")

We read books about flamingos ("Flamingos") and Franklin. And we practiced finding ("finden") things.

I also played with my binoculars ("Fernglas.")

Catching ("fangen") fish ("Fische") was also on the agenda.

For lunch I ate fish-sticks ("Fischstäbchen") and fruit ("Früchte.") For dessert, I got to eat a fruit roll-up.

Unfortunately, it was too cold and wet outside to ride ("fahren") my bike ("Fahrrad") or play soccer ("Fußball.")

After my nap, I ate a fire-truck ("Feuerwehrauto") made out of graham crackers and Nutella. I also had some gummy fish.

Mama finally showed me her recorder ("Flöte,") and I had lots of fun playing it.

Mama and I also made a frog ("Frosch") together.

We had a whole lot going on today!

"E" Day

Today was "E" Day.

After breakfast, Mama and I decorated eggs ("Eier") for Easter.

And I got to watch a little bit of Babar, since he's an elephant ("Elefant.")

Then we baked strawberry cookies ("Erdbeerkekse.")

Mmmm...yummy!

I also got a new train book ("Eisenbahnbuch.")

For lunch, Mama served rice with peas ("Erbsen,") strawberries (" Erdbeeren,") and bread with peanut butter ("Erdnussbutter") and strawberry jam ("Erdbeermarmelade.")

We also played with my trains ("Eisenbahnen.")

For dinner, we ate eggs ("Eier.") Then we went to get some ice cream ("Eis") for dessert. But first, I had to check out the flowers in the front yard.

"D" Day

Today was "D" day. Oma and Mama had lots of big plans, but they needed to change those a bit, because I'm sick and none of us got much sleep last night.

For breakfast, I got to eat a Dora yogurt with my pancake.

After that, I put together a dinosaur ("DInosaurier") puzzle with Mama and Oma.

I brushed my teeth with my Diego toothbrush. Do you see all the dinosaurs ("Dinosaurier") on my PJs?

Oma got me new slippers...with a Diego jibbit.

I got a dragon ("Drache") as well. He got to play with my castle and the knight.

And here is my snazzy dinosaur ("Dinosaurier") shirt.

Outside ("Draußen") I got to play detective ("Detektiv") and look for dinosaurs ("Dinosaurier") in the sand.

Mama and Oma tried to fly a kite ("Drachen") in the backyard. They said it'd work better at the park next time.

For lunch we ate "Dampfnudeln" with vanilla sauce. "Dampfnudeln" are like a sweet dumpling.

After nap, I got to eat dirt ("Dreck") with worms (crushed Oreos with gummy worms.)

"C" Day

Today was "C" Day...Mama said there aren't a lot of German words that start with "C," but we still had a lot of fun.

This morning I got to have Capri Sun ("Capri Sonne") with my pancake.

Then, I got to watch Caillou (in German). I was so excited about that.

Next, we made a Clown ("Clown.") I let Mama help me color.

Mama also showed me a calendar with pictures of Celle (Mama's hometown.) I told her that we'll be flying there soon...and Oma and Opa are going to come, too.

For lunch I got to have "Currywurst," chips ("Chips") and some more Capri Sun. (I ate other things, too, but those words didn't start with "C.")

After naptime, I got to eat cashews ("Cashewnüsse.") And then I got to play my Caillou game on the Computer ("Computer.") How fun!

And lastly, I got to color my "C" picture.
