Germany - Part 1

We got back from Germany today. We spent two great weeks there. We have over 500 pictures to go through, so it will take a while to get everything up on the blog.

Here I am on the flight from Dallas to Frankfurt.

I got to pick out the yellow airpline for the flight.

I ate a sandwich, too.

This little screen is so cool!

We finally arrived at the train station in Celle.

At first, I was still a little shy...

...But then we went to a restaurant with a neat playground.

And then I played with Florian.

"N" Day

Today was "N" Day.

For breakfast, I got to eat pancakes with Nutella.

Of course ("natürlich) I had to ride my bike today. That's my favorite thing to do!

I also made a hippo ("Nilpferd") with Mama.

For lunch, I got to eat pasta ("Nudeln") with cheese sauce...aka mac and cheese. That's one of my favorites.

Mama also trimmed my nails ("Nägel.")

In the afternoon ("Nachmittag,") I got to eat a miniature nut cake ("Nuss-Napfkuchen.")

The powdered sugar tickled my nose ("Nase.")

I also played my harmonica quite a bit. Maybe it's about time I learned to read notes ("Noten.")

"M" Day

Yesterday was "M" day. Did you know that "M" is my favorite letter? After all, Markus starts with "m."

I helped Mama grind ("mahlen") flour ("Mehl.")

I had to take my medicine ("Medizin") too.

And then I played with Mack.

I made music ("Musik") with my new harmonica ("Mundharmonika.")

For lunch ("Mittagessen") I ate Milchreis.

After lunch, I got tired ("müde") and took my nap ("Mittagsschlaf.") Afterwards, I got to eat ladybug cupcakes ("Marienkäferkuchen") with M&Ms on them.

Mmmm...yummy!

"L" Day

Today was "L" day. I'm sick again, but we still had fun.

We played the piano and sang songs ("Lieder.")

And then we played with my Lightning McQueen bucket and my Legos ("Legosteinen.")

And I'm not too sick to laugh ("lachen") either.

We read my lighthouse ("Leuchtturm") book, too.

For lunch I ate lentil soup ("Linsensuppe") and after my nap, I got to eat Lego cookies.

"K" Day

Wednesday was "K" Day.

After breakfast, I tickled ("kitzeln") Oma.

Mama and I baked yummy cookies ("Kekse.")

And there were lots of kisses ("Küsschen.")

Oma, Mama and I went to a great place: the Children's Museum ("Kindermuseum.") We had so much fun! Can ("kann") every day be "K" Day?

I had some Cheetos for lunch...appropriate, since they're cheese-flavored ("Käsegeschmack.") Here are the orange crumbs ("Krümel") to prove it:

They even had an ambulance ("Krankenwagen" at the Children's Museum ("Kindermuseum.") I finally got to turn on the siren myself!

After my nap, I got to cook ("kochen" with my new pots ("Kochtöpfe.")

"J" Day

"J" Day was supposed to be last week, but I was sick. So, we had it today instead.

For breakfast, I got to have yogurt ("Joghurt.") That's one of my favorites!

I got to watch some Caillou, since he's a boy ("Junge.")

Then I got to go on a Jeep-hunt ("Jeep-Jagd,") because it's pretty difficult to find my Jeep among all of my other cars.

Don't I look spiffy in my jeans ("Jeans?")

I got to eat Japanese ("Japanisch") food for lunch...with chopsticks! I didnt want to try the Jahrlsberg cheese today.

We played outside until nap-time. Did you know Jeeps can go down the slide?

We also read a couple of books related to "J." (Diego drives a Jeep, and the other book is about a boy ("Junge.")

After nap, we had currant ("Johannisbeer") scones. And I got to eat frozen yogurt ("Joghurteis") too.
